Who we are

Wadart is the website of Ian Waddington, an independent artist based in Preston, Lancashire. This page explains what happens to any information you give us through this site.

What we collect

Almost nothing. There are no contact forms on this website and no newsletter. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any payment details anywhere on the site, and we do not buy or sell contact lists.

The only thing recorded is basic technical data: our host keeps ordinary web server information such as the pages requested and the date and time.

If you message Ian

Every enquiry goes through WhatsApp, or through Facebook if you prefer. Those conversations happen inside WhatsApp and Facebook and are covered by their own privacy terms, not this policy. Ian keeps your messages in the app for as long as they are useful for the piece or commission they relate to, in the same way anyone keeps a text message.

Your rights

You can ask what Ian holds about you, ask him to correct it, or ask him to delete it. Message him on WhatsApp and he will sort it out. If you are not happy with how it has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
